“We Gonna Make It” was released as a single from Jada’s 2001 debut solo album, and extremely underrated Kiss tha Game Goodbye. It featured a two-by-two with his L.O.X. Brother Styles P. The Alchemist sampled a section of Samuel Jonathan Johnson’s 1978 track “My Music” for the beat, which the subject of a ton of controversy. Kiss tha Game Goodbye is the debut studio album by American rapper Jadakiss. The album was released on August 7, 2001, by Ruff Ryders Entertainment and Interscope Records. The album debuted at number five on the US Billboard 200 and number two on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart.
Commercial performance[edit]
The album debuted at number five on the US Billboard 200 selling 204,000 copies in its first week.[11] It was eventually certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for sales of over 500,000 copies in the United States.[12] As of June 2004, the album has sold 877,000 copies.[11]
